National Philanthropy Day recognizes Nebraska's Outstanding Philanthropists on November 16, 2026
Nominations are now open for Nebraska’s Outstanding Philanthropists, presented by the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Nebraska Chapter.
This award honors an individual, family, or group whose generosity, leadership, and commitment to giving have created meaningful and lasting impact across Nebraska. If you know someone whose philanthropy is transforming lives and strengthening communities, we invite you to submit a nomination.
The selected honoree will be celebrated at National Philanthropy Day on November 16, 2026, at the Tenaska Center for Arts Engagement.
Help us recognize those who inspire generosity and make Nebraska stronger—submit your nomination today.
The deadline for nominations is August 1, 2026.
2026 Award Categories:
- Outstanding Corporate Philanthropist – A local company that champions giving and civic leadership.
- Outstanding Community Foundation – A grantmaking organization making a difference beyond financial support.
- Outstanding Family Foundation – A family-led foundation deeply committed to strategic, community-based philanthropy.
- Outstanding Philanthropist – An individual, family, or group making meaningful impact through diverse forms of giving.
- Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser – A volunteer leader who motivates others and elevates giving through service.
- Outstanding Student or Student Group in Philanthropy – Youth creating big change and inspiring their generation.
- Outstanding Emerging Philanthropist – A rising changemaker demonstrating generosity early in their philanthropic journey.
- Outstanding Responsive Philanthropist – An individual or organization that leads the way in making immediate, meaningful impact in response to urgent community needs.
- Lifetime Achievement – An individual whose decades of philanthropic commitment have left a lasting legacy in Nebraska.
