Like many of you, we have been monitoring the impact of COVID-19, the Coronavirus, in our community and its impact on upcoming meetings.

Taking that into consideration as well as the health and safety of our members, we have decided to cancel the March 19th Professional Development Luncheon.

If you have already registered and paid the registration fee online, the entire fee will be refunded to your credit/debit card.

We hope to re-schedule the March meeting so watch for email updates about this meeting and also other upcoming AFP meetings and events. We will continue to have an open line of communication with our meeting venues, future presenters and the Board of Directors regarding the health and safety of all attendees at future events.

Lunch buffet & networking -- 11:30AM

Brief chapter business program -- 11:50AM

Program from 12 Noon - 1PM

When you drive, would you rather look through only the windshield or the rear-view mirror?   Focusing on donor retention is popular these days, but it is a lagging indicator that looks back to see how many donors were lost.

Join us March 19 and come learn about “looking through the windshield” with donor loyalty – a leading indicator for fund development. Scott Larson is currently drafting his PhD dissertation as he researches donor loyalty and will share his insights into how we can more effectively cultivate relationships that will grow long-term relationships with committed donors.

Scott has worked with nonprofit organizations for more than 35 years. His years of development experience include work in education, consulting, health care and religious philanthropy. He previously served as Director of Development for the Madonna Foundation, affiliated with Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital (Lincoln, Nebraska); Director of Philanthropy at the Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools and is currently Senior Associate with Paul J. Strawhecker, Inc. in Omaha. Scott has guided organizations in capital fund appeals, strategic planning, consensus building and board development in the Midwest and Alaska. Scott has an education degree from Concordia University-St. Paul, MN; a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Theological Seminary-St. Paul, MN and completed additional Master’s degree coursework in Information Media at St. Cloud State University-St. Cloud, MN. He is currently completing his doctoral studies in Educational Administration at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

You can REGISTER ONLINE or via e-mail to [email protected] or 844-249-8806.  Guest fees can be paid online or at the door by cash, check or credit card.  We hope to see you there!
