Registration is Open for Spring 2020 - Certificate in Fundraising Management

We are excited to announce the UNO Certificate in Fundraising Management class schedule for Spring 2020. We have some exciting new topic and new instructors.

 

Effective Fundraising for Your Nonprofit | Hillary Nather-Detisch, MPA, CFRE, Joslyn Art Museum  | March 30
This crash course will survey fundraising topics, donor behavior, donor cycle, donor stewardship, development plans, developing and presenting your unique story, gifting, and campaigns.

Media for Fundraisers | Haley Armstrong, Nebraska Medicine | March 31
Attendees will learn best practices in communicating and positioning their organization in the community; learn how to foster and manage relationships with the media; creatively tell the organizations story; develop talking points and enhance public speaking skills; and create an effective social media plan.

 

Digital Communications: Relationships, Engagement, and Fundraising | Lisa Sock, Integrated Fundraising and Mobilization Strategist | April 17
Learn how to effectively use digital channels to build and grow relationships with your supporters online, expand awareness about your organization, and engage your constituents to advance your mission and raise money

 

Tapping into the Power of Corporate Giving | Jeff Skalberg, Noteworthy and Community Alliance | April 23
This class dives into ways in which nonprofits can benefit from leveraging corporate contributions to increase revenue and creating multi-dimensional relationships. Participants will leave with new, innovative ideas in which they can take full advantage of the emerging trends in corporate giving and enhance their partnerships beyond one-time donations.

 

Managing Up and Out | John Levy, JD, William and Ruth Scott Family Foundation | April 24
The fundraising environment today requires strategic planning — managing out — and development of your greatest fundraising, asset, your nonprofit’s board — managing up. This course explores the process of strategic planning as a way to engage your board, develop shared goals, and implement successful fundraising efforts.

 

The UNO Certificate in Fundraising Management is a non-credit, professional development program that provides in-depth training in vital areas of fundraising.

 

Classes are held in the Weitz Community Engagement Center on the UNO Dodge Campus in Omaha, Nebraska. Classes run from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. The cost is $279 per class and includes instruction, materials, a working lunch, and parking. Discounts are available for groups.
